Dr Rob Tinch, our European Business Representative, first joined eftec in 1995 and re-joined the core team in April 2008. Rob has over 20 years’ experience in environmental and ecological economics and works primarily on European research projects.

His current contracts include ATLAS (spatial assessment of Atlantic deep-sea ecosystems), MERCES (coastal ecosystem restoration) and IMPRESSIONS (IA modelling of climate adaptation).  Rob also works on shorter projects for a range of UK and international clients, mostly in the public sector. He is also director of Iodine sprl, a small Belgian research company.

Rob holds a PhD "Resilience and Management of Stochastic Renewable Resource Systems" from the University of York, an MSc in Environmental Economics from University College London and a BA in Economics from the University of York. He is based in Brussels and works in English and French.
