Ece makes the case for environmental economists and natural capital accounting:

The Ripple Effect with CIWEM and a public lecture in Dublin

This week saw the launch of The Ripple Effect: Inspiring a Resilient Environment, a campaign from the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) produced in collaboration with Content with Purpose (CWP).

The series showcases the solutions and expertise required to address the climate and nature crises. Ece, our CEO, was interviewed by the campaign to provide expert insight into the natural capital approach. In the interview, she highlights the need for businesses to view nature as an asset, demonstrating how this change in perception can enable action. You can watch her interview here.

Ece will also be speaking at a public lecture at Trinity College Dublin, on October 14. The talk is titled: What does economics have to do with nature?

At eftec, we know that how economic systems work (or don’t) is behind most of our environmental challenges. Ece says: “as environmental economists, we understand these failures, and I, for one, feel a moral responsibility to point them out, and make a positive contribution to the solutions”.

The event is currently fully booked, but the link is here if you would like more information or if more space becomes available.
